Default CAI installation, not easy

I broke some of those damn clips in the fender well, can those be bought at auto zone, etc.? Also, the air sensor didn't reach without seperating the wires from the bundle, it was weird. Anyone elses CAI not install perfectly without some tinkering? I sure hope it works tomorrow when I got to start it...

2000 civic ex, AEM CAI, and yeah I took a few shots that I might upload tomorrow. It's not that there were any problems really, but just the fact that the air sensor didn't reach all the way to the furthest grommet made me worry a bit, as I had to cut it away from the wiring harness. And the filter was a tight fit in the well, it rubs up against the bumber. Strange.

just remember not to let the wire for the o2 sensor touch the header in any way. it will screw up ur ecu because it will melt.

I have a 99 EX, and ran into the same problems. I wouldnt worry much about it resting on the bumper, thats not a big deal. However, i just recieved new couplers and pretty much did a "re-install" of the CAI, and somehow i ended up with plenty of slack for that sensor, it was pulled really tight before
