Default CAI Suggestion

I was looking around the forum and it seems alot of people like the AEM v2 CAI

i wanted to know which one is better and give more hp gain
AEM V2 CAI
INGEN CAI
K&N CAI

when i was looking it seemed like AEM V2 CAI only give about 6-7 hp gain while K&N CAI gives about 10+

Any suggestion is appreciated =)

all intakes give about the same HP. give or take a few hps. anyways, the dynos presented by the companies are not based purely on the intake. on a heavily modified engine, an intake will make a huge difference. added to a stock car, the difference will be small. anyways, get whatever's cheaper, or whatever brand you like best. they're all good, quality parts, so your safe with whatever one. welcome to the forums!

I think it's a matter of your budget. If you got the money go for the AEM V2. If you don't a short ram would suit you untill you do, I like the AEM sri's personally. Some people vouch for the ebay intakes with a nice filter but the 'really' cheap intake tubes on ebay, I've heard don't fit right and are junk. You minus well get a short ram thats a name brand like AEM, Injen they're $100 and work great if you don't have the extra loot. If you do got the lootgo AEM v2 imo.

The main thing is, if you get a cai and it rains alot where you live get a an aem, they come with the optionl water bypass valve. it is 50 bucks extra, but will stop 99% of water from entering your engine.

bypass vavle defeats the purpose of the intake. You will lose more power than the intake gained in the first place. Also, hydrolock requires complete submersion of the filter...really hard to do. Unless you regularly drive through lakes, don't go for the bypass valve.
