CAI Suggestion
I live on the west coast 2 hours north of Seattle so I get tons of rain, lots of puddles and everything and i have a AEM CAI and i've never had any problem with hydrolocking and stuff like that...i love the AEM and would recommend it to anyone.
does anyone have any hydrolocking stories? I like 2 hours north of seattle and get a ton of rain...lots of puddles and stuff and i've never had a problem with water getting into myengine through the cold air intake...i've got an AEM and would highly recommend the brand...i've had both a short ram and cold air and i honestly think both are extremly similar...the short ram isdefinitly louder though...bothhave produced virtually the same hp gains! greatproduct!

there's quite a few doods that have hydrolocked their engines with a cold air intake at www.acuraworld.com.
you don't have to completely submerge your filter, contrary to popular belief. but driving through a puddle large enough to splash water up into the intake filter can do it.
I would never take the chance of buying a CAI here in NC because of flash floods and thunderstorms that cause water puddling on roads.
