Most headers out there keep the cat, if they do not use the cat they will say they are cat delete. And cat back exhausts and header will bolt up to your cat no problem, the flanges will be the same as long as you match the system to your car.

From reading your other posts, I have deduced that you have a 96 Civic DX.

If this is correct, getting a header will cause you to have no catalytic converter. As a result, you will throw a check engine light.

You need to convert to EX style exhaust to have a catalytic converter and header.

At the top of this forum section is a FAQ on the conversion

here's the install DIY

nice write up, but all ireally have 2 do is change 2 ex headers, add an oxygen sensor extension, bolt the cat converter and connect to the cat back right?

no, the DX catback is too long, by the length of a catalytic converter. You either need to shorten the catback or install an EX catback.

I'm in the process of doing this. lol. ( ihave been since last summer) things keep comming up and it keeps getting bumped down my priority list. like trust said when you convert it moves the cat from infront of the engine to underneath so you need longer o2 wires and such.
