the cheepo cai will function the same as an aem, but fitment may be better, i personally have a cheepo, well will have had after tommorow and it fit fine, its kinda hit or miss

when it comes to somethin like an intake you are gonna want to spend your money on the brand names, no cheepos, the performance won't match up, and in the long run you'll end up having to replace the cheepo one and wishing you did it the right way the first time, stick with AEM it'll put a smile on your face i promise.

I've some experience with the ebay cheapies while doing a LS1 swap a couple of years ago and what we found was the filters were just crap. personally I think if your going to go with a ebay chepie atleast get a name brand conicle air filter to put on it.

yeah that^^

but the only reason the cheapo intakes work is because if you take apart your stock box, you notice the entire inside is...well...filter. so it breathes horribly. the cheapo intakes breathe easier, but brand names are actually tuned to give you the best performance
