Civic Si 00 - Skunk2 Manifold - IAT Sensor

Hey guys...
I just purchased a Skunk2 Pro series Intake manifold for my car. I noticed that my IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is located on my Intake pipe, the skunk2 has it located on the actual manifold.
Could I just leave the IAT sensor on the intake and Install a GSR IAT sensor on the manifold just as a cover up, I could get a none working sensor.
Has anybody done this to their Civic's 99-00
