for the hose that goes from the intake to the engine block, does it need a clamp? i have a clamp on the intake/hose side but not on the engine/hose side since it's already really tight and i currently don't have a clamp that fits.

 

Ok, so you were busting on BEAM for not listing his year/trim/engine and then you do the same thing...

You should have a clamp for that, yes. Visit your local Home Depot's plumbing dept to find one the right size. And that thing your intake is connected to is called a throttle body, fyi.

 

the intake connects directly to the throttle body, this i know, but the part of the intake i'm actually taking about is the hose that connects it directly to the head

Not to be a jerk, but the model is either ex, lx, dx etc.

But yeah, you're probably better off having it clamped down just to make sure. Can't hurt, and you don't want it to come off if you driving.

My fault, I misunderstood the original question. But my answer still holds true...you should be able to find a small clamp in just about any plumbing department.
