cold air intake

Default cold air intake

should i be concerned driving in the rain with a cold air intake? i know not to drive threw big puddles n stuff but should i worrie driving in heavy rain?

you have to pretty much submerge the filter before you'll hydrolock. don't worry aboutheavy rain. as long as it's not flooded three feet high, you're fine.

yep and as long as you still have your inner fenders and splash shields.... shouldnt be a problem... BUT if you dont tho it wont lock the motor but it will suck some water thru the motor that will maybe bog the motor a bit but just the same as having some water in your gas tank... not a huge deal...
but if your realy concerned then just either MAKE your CAI into a SRI by simply cuting the intake tube in the engine bay and just puting the filter on thier.... then you can always buy a rubber joint and just conect the two pieces back together for a CAI again....

^ cut your CAI in half? That's pretty ghetto, man

I wouldn't worry about it at all. The worst thing that should happen (provided you don't try to cross any rivers or lakes) is your fuel mileage might suffer a little bit as a result of the water the engine does suck up (and it will suck up some water, just not enough to do any damage).

cutting = not connecting the second tube of the cai
