is there a decent (not 30$ on ebay) cold air intakes for the 2001 civics?
i dont want just the sound thingie i want a decent kit wich would improve the gas mileage and might increase the perfomance.

Go AEM CAI or try the V2, thats wut i jus put on my car. better performance, gas mileage, and it sounds cool. The CAI runs around 200 and V2 about 253. Heres a pic...

I don't think u will find a CAI that will go by the fender because u are going to have to drill a hole. Why do u want it under the fender if u afraid that water is going to get into your engine get a bypas valve, but you have to realize your filter needs to be underwater to suck water into the engine, I never saw a puddle that huge around here. But I do take it off for ther winter.

You will have to clean any intake filter but if you get a k&n you can clean it evey 3000 to 5000 miles or just clean it when you change your oil.
