Default check engine light is on.

what's up i put on headers about two weeks ago and the car was running perfect until i put on my exhaust cat-back 3 days ago. when i had the headers on the light never came on until i put the cat-back on. is it that since there's more air flow that the O2 sensor on the headers is getting to hot. can someone just tell me what the problem can be thanks. or what i should do.

Just wondering, did you put your O2 sensor back in? If so, why dont you disconnect the cable from the battery and keep it off for about 2 minutes and then put it back on. Sometimes it resets the computer.

i did exactly that and the next day it came back on. but the car is running perfect. i just don't want something to happen for real and i wont know about it because i will think is from the headers you know what i mean.

you need to find out what the error code is, then we can help a bit more. though im betting its O2 sensor related.
