I have all red rubber cuplings with SERIOUS hardware on there now, that shot was taken a while ago.
did you paint the valvecover? if not you should when you install the turbo.

Nah, I don't know anything about that. What kind of oil do you use?
This is for K&N cotton filters (which you might want to upgrade to anyway)

no, dont use it on paper ones. but a paper one will get torn up by washing.

i changed my intake for SRI to stock for the winter, thinking about buying the extension tubing in the summer tho...iv never heard of paper filters before

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, guess it's not paper. Will it hurt to go with out the oil?

it can. the oil is what keeps dirt from getting through the cotton fibers.

it's like $9 for the cleaning and oiling kit... just go for it.

I did paint it towards the end of summer, but it was basically just a trial thing. It didnt put a ton of time into it, in fact I didnt even make the HONDA letters silver, its just solid orangeish-red. It'll be repainted black when the turbo goes in.

Well, I got the oil/cleaning kit today. Definitely looks healthier.
