D series header swap
k i just looked at my z6 header i bought and do i need an o2 sensor for that? Could i swap the one i have on my y7 to the z6? Do i need to buy a new gasket for the header too?
ya a gasket is needed tho you could probably use your old O2 sensor BUT its probably siezed on thier preaty good.... plus if ya got quite a few miles on it ya might as well do it easy and safe and just buy a new one
it took me quite a bit of soaking with penatrating oil and alot of man power and praying HOPING it doesnt round the head off the sensor....

well i went to put the z6 header on my car today and noticed that my y7 o2 sensor will match up perfectly (yipee) but there is also a O2 sensor on the cat, which will be deleted with the new header. What am i supposed to do? Anyone?
you mean about the extra O2 sensor? if so youll need to get a O2 simulator for your ride and just wire it in.... thats what ive always heard about when removing a CAT converter
yea im talking about the extra one that was in the cat and would be left out with the new header in. Ive read about the simulators but i dont get what they are and where can i get one?
anyone help?!! Sorry for kinda switching topics but im looking to get a intake mani right away to so should i get the same z6 or should i try to get a y8? Which one would be easier?
ok well i finally figured out what an O2 simulator and does this one look ok?

yeah that looks good. The others ones, such as www.o2simulator.com are wired into the sensor. Personally i think this idea is simpler, although you are going to have to extend the wires anyway to reach the 2nd bung. Either way will probably work, personally i'd get the one that you wire into it.
