I'm looking at purchasing a DC sports header and they got two options for the D17A2:

Ceramic at around $335 and Racing at about $450.

The ceramic is CARB exempt but the racing isn't. Anybody know the difference between these two? Is there any additional performance gained by the racing headers or is it just capable of handling the higher heat range. Any advice/experience would be appreciated.

 

I assume that you have a 7th gen civic. i recommend you go with Megan, with DC sports you are paying for a name, to answer your question.....the racing can benfit you over the other because it get rid of the catilic converter.....but if you have an emissions test then you will fail. I think you should look into Megan and look at my stuff in the 7th gen stuff i also have a D17A2. If you have any other questions PM me.

 

350-450 bucks on about 5 hp is the biggest waste in the world. i'd rock ebay headers one after another before i'd pay that much.
