not really familiar with paint, is that something you would have to take in to have someone do?

YES....Pwdercoating is done at shops where they use that stuff. They have a wide varieties of color and finishes and candy paint colors also. If you want to do this style you have to shop around.... a lot of shops what to charge a lot of cash. I only paid $50.00 for the valve cover and OEM strut bar. They also taped the letters on the valve cover so they wouldn't get painted
This shop wanted to charge me 100.00 for just the valve cover all solid and they didn't want to cover the letters...***-holes..screw them..

Shop around.... or the same as this>>> go here..

thanks! I'll have a nice lil project to do for myself on Friday.... how long do you have to wait after the last coat before you can put it back on your car? (the valve cover that is) I'm sure it said it somewhere but I just missed it...

still havent decided on the color scheme i want to do yet, I have a "metallic silver" car and I think silver, red, and black would be a nice combo. Maybe I'll get fancy and tape off an acura symbol

a nice brand new napa auto parts just opened up like 2 mins away from my house so I'll be stopping there, also theres an auto zone 5 mins away, checker like 3 mins away, and advance like 10 mins away... haha so I should be able to find it at one of those stores

Powder-Coating don't come in spray paint cans. Spray paint is no the same as Powder coating. 2 different things

I say give it at least a full 24 hrs to dry. You should also add the the Clear coat for extra protection..Dupli color has the 500F That should be more than fine for the Valve cover but that paint wont do it for headers. They sell it at Auto-zone
