Hey guys - I'm new here. Just got my first Civic. A '93 SI hatchback; bone stock with ~115k.
I've read about 3,000 threads on here about intakes, and decided to buy an eBay CAI and throw a K&N filter on it.

My question is, which cheapo CAI should I ****** up?
I'm looking for someone who has already done this on a 92-95 civic and can recommend a reliable seller, and a cai that will fit in with no problems.
Also, which K&N filter did you order with it? (Many of the ebay listning don't have the intake diameter listed...)

 

well i dont kno if BomzRacing sells CAI's but if they do i'd buy one from them...they seem to be one of the few cheap yet reliable ebay companies out there. as for filter size, it depends on the diameter of the tubing, if it's a 2.5" tube then u gota find a filter that fits and same with 3" and so on. also make sure the filter will fit inside the fender well.

 

One other question, what's the difference between a 1-piece and 2-piece header?

 

Okay, I found some BOMZRacing intakes on ebay (here)
You have any idea what diameter the piping is?
Also, on that link I posted it says "For 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 Honda Del Sol All Models (Automatic & Manual)" Then there's a blue Bomz intake that says it's "For 1992 1993 1994 1995 Honda Civic All Models (Automatic & Manual), AND For 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 Honda Del Sol All Models (Automatic & Manual)"
Is it safe to assume that either is going to fit fine? They look the same in the pics, atleast...
