Default EXHAUST/INTAKE and mpg!

hiya guys i turn to you again for help! =) i was wondering if possibly any of you knew how an intake and custom catback exhaust would affect my gas mileage (possitively/negatively and how much roughly). I own a brand spanking new 7 days old newborn baby civic EX, she's a redhead!
any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Why you don't get any fuel mileage improvement from performance mods

I don't think it drops it that much... honestly, I couldn't tell ya... I've been getting horrible gas mileage latelydue to a 13-year old o2 sensor... man, I gotta replace that thing asap lol...anybody know approximate prices on a new sensor?

I think o2 sensors are like $100, dont quote me on that. Call a honda dealer close to you and check. As for the milage with bolt on mods, I think that its not going to change much either way but I do think that it will help because with the extra power you don't have to downshift and have your rpm's as high on like hills and things.

k thnx.. .thats pretty freakin expensivebut what can ya do? I mean, without a good o2 sensor, you get bad (horrible) fuel economy. Well, that, and my ricer light display (aka narrow-band air/fuel guage) isn't as much fun when the o2 sensor isn't good lol

dude i have CAI, DC 4-2-1 header, Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, and bunch of other crap but dude i went from 28mpg in town to32 mpg and 38mpg on highway to 43mpg w/those bolt ons. It helped me out alot. Thats with 9.2 gallons in my car. And I have a 11.2 gallon tank but I have NEVER had to fill it up past 9.6 gallons and that was on DEAD RED Empty. Also I have a d16z6 5spd.
