Default which first

i dont know what to get first. a catback exhaust or a cold air intake. i have 400$ and im not quite sure if thats enough for catback(a decent one). Which would you do, and what exhaust system would you recommend. i was looking at magnaflow because im looking for a nice mellow sound. Im new to the import scene and dont know who makes quality exhuast systems. how do the greddy exhaust sound

I would go with an Intake first. Aem, K&N, injen all make good intakes.

i have the greddy evo and i love it. very nice low sound, ive heard the sp's as well and they are nice exhausts. the magnaflow is an okay exhaust, its kind of raspy at the higher rpms.

I got my SRI before i got my exhaust and it all worked out ok. However, i would assume that if you are going to do one at a time it would make sense to get the exhaust first. Getting the intake is gonna cause more air to be sucked into your engine so you will need a bigger/higher flow exhaust to release it. But it seemed to work fine going with the intake first. I have a Magnaflow Cat-Back and it is great. Sounds good, not too loud not too low. The fit is perfect and looks awsome. Not too much HP gain tho. Overall i love it

if you wanna save yourself alot of work later.. get the CAI or SRI first.. V2 is my pref of course.. but after the intake save up around 700 bucks and get headers/cat/catback all at once so it can all be matched and not have to deal with making it fit to stock piping or cat..700 is for cheaper name brand setup .. you can get custom setup for probably 200-300 less and if you want greddy or anything really pricey.. you might end up closer to 1k..

Go intake first, personally I don't think it helps to expell air faster from the engine if it's not there to be expelled.

definitely Intake, the difference in throttle response will not let you down
