Gas Mileage
i drive about 500+ miles a week now living in laconia nh and augusta me, and with my 17s and noisy *** yokohama parada spec 2s i calculated a 34mpg max, and i put my winter tires on, just stock tires and drove to school, filled my tank... and my heart stopped, if my calculations are correct i am getting 44 mpg. its hard to believe.
I get about 26 average, mainly because my 02 sensor is throwin with the new exhaust on it... gotta get a damn simulator. Where can I get one? Ive checked all 5 auto stores I have in my area.
I have a stock 91 civic hatchback with 123000
on the clock. I get around 35 mpg in town no matter how I drive
and over 40 on the highwayand that's with an automatic.
You have to stay on top of maintenance and I use castrol
syn-tec full synthetic oil. This alone will increase your gas
mileage. Your anti-polution devices probably need looking at.
these things are notorious for clogging up and waisting gas
assuming you don't have a mechanical problem.

would a header change the gas mileage?
would a header change the gas mileage?
Stock 95 DX HB = 32mpg
SRI = 36mpg
catback + SRI = 38
Header +catback+SRI (tune up)= 36mpg
This is all highway driving 100 miles a day 80MPH in the AM and slow crawl home( 40MPH) in the PM
