Yea i decided against placing the pipe down towards the floor, so i sawzalled the curved bent pipe and just made the regular pipe longer as you can see.

Hey, question is the filter you got pre oiled? Or did you have to oil it?

*edit* gulp, if it isnt oiled, how can i find out, and what can i oil it with?
I'm fairly sure that it's pre-oiled (AKA I haven't oiled mine). When the filter get's dirty however, I'll just replace it with either a K&N or AEM Dryflow

If you change the filter the noise will go away, and also plug the lil nub in the middle of the pipe that connects to the valve cover, you kno, the tube that comes with the kit, that connects from the valve cover to the intake, well anyways plug the intake with something then put a breather filter on the valve cover, So in that way Your intake wont be sucking up hot air from the valve cover.
Hmm sounds like a good idea. Will this give me any increase in performance? Would this be fine?

you wont notice the increase, it's just for the engine to breath better.

I've had SRI and CAI and both make an air sucking noise when the car is on idle.
In my opinion the CAI one is more noticable that air is being sucked in, than the SRI.

So these cheapies off eBay work just as well as the higher dollar ones?

Is there any proven gains with something like an AEM over a eBay Cheapster?
