Mmm.. Damn, this is going to cost ALOT >_>.

$275 for the AEM V2 Intake
~$300 for the Header
$450~$500 for the GReedy SP2 Exhaust
$300 for the Downpipe

So i'm averaging about $1,300 for all of this. Geesh >_>. The downpipe I think you recommended is http://www.dezod.com/pd_random_technology_hiflow.cfm maybe there is a cheaper one? I expected all of this to cost me around $1000, easily. But it seems converting to a EX setup is going to be more costly, nonetheless.. But, I think I got everything I wanted priced just about right.. Now I just got to go around and see where I can get my stuff the cheapest, I don't got that much money to start off with, maybe about $200. My next couple paychecks will help me out alot, but.. I also gotta think about christmas, since i'll have to waste about $100 on presents >_>. But, just let me know I guess . Also, does it really matter IF I get that downpipe? Like you said.. I mean, would it really make a difference if I got that $300 one, or some cheap one? Also, whats the O2 Simulator do? Is it better to get a simulator then just extending the wires? Also, do I need the high flow cat built into it..? I thought some exhausts have high flow cats build into them?

So.. So far I got...
1) EX Header
2) EX Exhaust
3) Downpipe
4)O2 Simulator

According to that article, I have everything I need, correct? Everything should bolt up fine and dandy? I don't want to get this stuff, and some reason it wouldn't work :P.

Thanks for the feedback thus far .

Get this header. It's one from Megan Racing. Despite the cheap price ($150; less than half of yours...), it's good quality stuff (be sure to read about the difference between a 4-1 and a 4-2-1 header in the Header FAQ. While I personally don't think it'll matter a lot on a d17a1 engine, some people regret getting one or the other)

Visit this forum to scout for deals on AEM v2s. Recently, somebody sold theirs for $40. Another person is selling it for $150 (I think they're still trying to sell it...) I got mine off of there for $160, used for a month with literally, a brand new filter.

As for the exhaust, i can't really help you there. Greddy's exhaust's aren't cheap... if you want to go a little cheaper, but not sacrifice a good sound, go with magnaflow (custom) or megan racing.

I know that you can extend the wires yourself. Save the money here.

The downpipe... you'd probably be safe getting off of ebay. Like this one...

Have you called around to exhaust shops? They might be able to make you a down pipe for even cheaper. Good luck

Oh.. WOW. Yeah, I still don't know if i'd rather have 4-2-1, or 4-1. Both are good.. But, I don't know >_>. Either one I could adjust to, really.. Thats not bad, that would save me roughly $100 bucks on the AEM V2. Yeah, I didn't expect to get the exhaust cheap, thats probably whats going to cost me the most. But, wow.. This saves me alot of money, haha.. Thanks alot. But, you sure I should by from ebay? :P. The header seems legit, and i've heard good things form Megan, so I don't got many worries. And as you said, the downpipe doesn't matter. But, does it matter if I get one with a high flow cat built in or not? And.. I have no experience with the the o2 sensor, so.. I don't exactly know what to do by extending the wires, but i'm sure i can ask around and find some help. But, thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. If I have anymore questions, i'll be sure to let you know .

a lot of people on this forum have bought brand name headers from ebay with no problem, so rest assured. also, in terms of a cat, you need to either get a stock one or a hi-flow one because the lx's cat is attached to the header and can't be reused. you need to get one if you want to pass emissions (in cali at least...). any exhaust shop can weld it on for you really cheaply. you don't have to get a downpipe that has it built in. you can get it welded in if you buy it separately.

as far as wiring goes, i've seen a diy at civicforums, but i can't seem to find it at the moment. if you're handy, it's an easy job

Ahh.. I understand that the cat is built onto the LX header. Well, I live in Illinois, and they arn't too **** about stuff like that here, so i'm pretty thankful . So, with the megan downpipe, I should be fine as far as the downpipe goes? I mean, does it really matter if I go with a cat built into the downpipe, or just a downpipe? What would really be the difference, if I had one or not, besides just emission tests?

It's purely for emission purposes
