Default Header Fitment

Sam @ missionspeed and I have a little delimma. We dont know for sure that 99-00 EX headers will fit my 00 DX. THe problem is is that the cat is in the headers on my car when the EX isnt. Wont they still bolt on normally?

I believe there's a slight modification you need to do to the EX header, then it will fit.

well im dropping the cat that is built into the headers. Basically, I will be pimping no cat after the new headers are on . But its the length that concerns Sam and I. But we are giving it the ole college try.

nope! South Carolina doesnt care. And nor do I. All in all, e tests for the Civic is bull sh*t to begin with, I would be willing to bet a civic still puts out less emissions without an exhuast compared to a big truck with an exhaust.

I have oredered it and will see if it fits for the better of the forum. I will also do a DIY

Okie doke, they headers will be coming in tomorow. I hope they fit. Im excited too. Expecially because it will help the ex. reach its full potential and get rid of the 4 straws in between the cat and exhaust. It will aslo eliminate the cat (shhh) so I can safely say about 20-25 hp... does that sound right?

Addition of header and removal of cat (sshhhh), I would say more like a 12-16HP gain.
