hey guys i'm looking at getting a header for my 04 dx and i have been looking at the megan racing header. Has anyone out there used any of the megan racing header? are they a good brand or should i look into another brand and if so what brands are good and i want to try and stay with a 2 1/4 inch exhaust. all suggestions would be great. Thanks

 

I think you have a cat converter built into your manifold. If you do, the megan header is going to delete that converter, making you fail emissions (guessing it is about the same for testing as it is in the states).

I would suggets looking into this sticky I linked below for a little more guidance if you do in fact have a cat converter embedded within your exhaust manifold. Not your year range of vehicle, but the same concept applies.

i was looking at putting a high flow cat inline so that i had more choices for a header but i will take a look at the thread and thanks for the reply

 

dont ebay the cat, they are just empty pipes, and the 1hp is not worth ruining the environment more than we already have...

I am converting soon, i am just gonna get an EX cat from the junk yard and order a header, have not chosen one yet, and local muffler shop will make custom tubing for $150US.

Im doing it because of the crack in my header, and I figured might as well do the whole thing instead of struggling for a header/cat combo and then having to still change it all later when i upgrade engine....

 

ebay was never an option. i don't mind spending the money on a good one. i was thinking about the magnaflow highflow universal cat along with the megan header. other suggestions would be great too
