Default Headers question

I have a D17a1 in my 02 Civic DX (stock w/ intake), and want to put some headers on. I've been looking at the obvious (DC, Megan, Chikara) and was wondering, do I have to do anything special to put these on with my stock exhaust? I am getting some money soon but it's not enough for headers and exhaust.. so I will have to stick with stock exhaust until I get some more money... but is there anything (like a cat, downpipe, i don't know??) that I will HAVE TO put on to get it to line up with the exhaust, or should it just bolt right on? The reason I ask is because almsot everywhere I look the description says for EX only.. do they not make headers for a DX?

Yeah, no one makes a header for the LX/DX, you'd have to get both the EX header and exhaust, an O2 sim (hooked up to the second O2 sensor). You could spend the money on an exhaust now and get the header later, I believe your stock header will hook up to an EX exhaust, but I'm not 100% positive about that.

I would get a cat-back first unless you are just dead set on a header. It'll be a better gain for around the same money. Unfortunately I can't say much about the 7th gens, but there is a reason why they are specified Ex, Dx, etc... It's a fitment issue. Search around, I know it's been covered before.
