unless you submerged it, the induction system isn't powerful enough to suck water up the entire intake. chances are that some of the ignition system is rather wet and just needs to sit and dry for a while. check your spark plug wires as well because they can also collect water. just don't remove the spark plugs themselves.

you have nothing to worry about, it probably gets wetter than that in the rain. Submerged = bad news, slightly wet filter = just let it dry, you'll be fine. The case where driving through a puddle and the kid hydrolocked his engine is a rare case, if this was common, half this forum would have hydrolocked engines right now

It was a big puddle, but I was mostly surprised by the fact that the kid bent 4 rods. It must have been a crap load of water up the intake to flood 4 cylinders like that.
