i thought the cat was on the stock headers, where would i put the cat?, after the down pipe or what? how much do you think all that will cost?

You dont have a "down pipe"... its considered a midpipe. You need resonators (probably 2) and a cat to get a normal soundign exhaust.

A "straight pipe" is basically a pipe from the header back, not muffling what-so-ever.
