Default I have a 95 Civic EX coupe

Awhile ago i took the muffler off. Ive been hearing things like that takes away from the top end torque. But then ive heard that the backpressure wastes engine power. I just want a clear understanding. Should i put my muffler back on or keep it off??

So you don't have a muffler at all right now? As far as I know, that won't do anything except make your car a lot louder. I'd say invest in a cat-back system or get an aftermarket muffler and have a cat-back system custom bent at a muffler shop. Just make sure the tubing is between 2" and 2.5". Smaller than that, and your car won't gain as much power... bigger than that, and you'll most likely lose a little power. Oh, yeah... if you get a custom system bent, make sure you get a resonator to be included on the system, too. Otherwise, your exhaust will probably sound pretty raspy.

Mufflers (or in this case lack therof) on stock tubing = no change in power

Welcome to the forum, btw
