I'm still going to port it... as a matter of fact, if it goes well, I may offer porting to people on the forum as an alternative to ordering a skunk2 manifold, it would save everyone money and give them that little edge. I did the same thing with the diesel forum I used to visit, I ported intake and exhaust manifolds for members at a fair price.

But back on subject, how much would it cost to bore the throttle body? And what cars would I find a 62mm throttle body? What's the disadvantage of a large TB?

most B series have 60 or 62mm tbs along with the H's. not sure on the Ks...but theyre probably 60s.

What would be the trade off on going with a bigger TB over stock?

I believe that the GSR's come with 60 mm and the SI (b16) come with 62.

So that means I need to look for an SI Integra?

Anyone want to take a swing at what a larger TB would sacrifice?

The larger throttle body allows more air to run through, but in order to allow this air to flow at the same rate you need to have a bigger intake manifold.

yeah something like that...but i think he said he messed something up then fixed it and it was all good. actually ive seen guys make ITB's out of an s2 manifold and they used an original s2 manifold as something to size it up to to make sure it doesnt hit the firewall.

I know that the runners on my Edlebrock are longer than the S2's.

How would a ported z6 manifold compare to my stock y8 manifold?
