Default Intakes and High Flow Exhaust Question

Hey all, I am new to the forum but had a question.

I have a question about the whole changing the air intake and exhaust to high flow models. On my motorcycle when the pipes were changed, it got a new set of fuel jets in the carbs to handle the lower restriction. Then when I changed the air intake over to a big high flow system, it got another new set of jets for the carbs.

When you change the intake and exhaust on your civics, do you have to change the software for the fuel injectors, do you need bigger injectors, or does the computer just learn that there is less restriction? It seems like if it doesn't learn, and these things don't happen you end up running really lean.

Thanks in advance.

Lucas

no you will not need new injectors or a reflash for the computer. The computer will be able to compensate for the higher flow components that are installed.

Your ECU will learn as you drive. No need to buy anything else.

however it probably wouldnt hurt to recet the ecu after wards. Unplug the negative battery terminal for 10-15 mins, rehook, let idle till normal operation, turn off, and then use whenever ready.

Thanks for the tip. How far back time wise is this true for, or are all of the ECU's for civics capable of learning?
