I not asking about the design but this version of it. http://www.procarparts.com/store-det...=onlinestoreDB
It seems good, better then the big red one with the cheap intake. It looks like plastic though, do you think that will matter? Im just looking for any info anyone has about this. Right now I have a cheap cold air with an obx filter. I live in Washington and I want a short ram now.

That should work fine. The only thing I'd be kinda iffy about is that fact that it is plastic, which will heat up and affect performance somewhat. I've got the PasswordJDM version of that intake and I love it. Plus, K&N filters are very good quality, so thats a big plus.

Actually the plastic is a much butter non-conductor of heat than metal.
Simota, the intake company I represent , also makes a similar product.
A lot of companies are now offering plastic because of it's non-conductive properties.

Carbon fiber will resist heat much better than plastic. I've read of people spending all day the track with carbon fiber intake manifolds and their IATs never dropped.
