K&N intake or Injen CAI with MR Technology

Default K&N intake or Injen CAI with MR Technology

'07 civic si, what would be the better intake with more horsepower...anyone tested these two?

between the two, you WILL NOT notice the difference, and they're both good brands, and will last a long time.

I went with the AEM for my 07 si, it works fine. Honestly the only difference you'll notice is better throttle response. If I did gain any power it was minimal and it only helps over 6,000 rpms.

I went with the K & N short ram air on my 07 Civic coupe. Power increase was noticable immediately now I'm checking what it did for fuel economy - seems to be better but have to wait for next fill up.
I live in an area that has deep puddles and sometimes floods during rainstorms so a cold air intake was definately out of the question.

fuel economy usually goes down with an intake because your driving habits change - you will instinctively mash the throttle more

additionally, power doesn't increase THAT much for you to notice immediately. most of the "power" is just an improved throttle response
