is the exhaust welded onto the cat or could i replace it myself?

Contact one of the forum vbendors to see if they will give you a deal. Also, the exhaust will just bolt on. You wont be replacing your header too by chance are you?

not yet, i don't have the money. i heard that on the lx, comapred to the ex, the exhaust upgrade isn't a straight bolton with no welding.
