Default muffler or catback exhaust

I have a 95 honda civic D15. I know the engine sucks in it, but would i really be benfiting from getting a catback exhaust system, versus just the muffler.

yes, getting a fart can will little to nothing as far a performance goes. Get a catback if you want the fart noise, because you'll actually get some performance to go with it.

the gains are acutally pretty minimal with a catback, so if you really don't have the money, get a muffler. when you get the money later on, you can do the entire thing piece by piece. maybe you'll be satisfied with just the muffler. a lot of people are. just make sure that if you choose the muffler only path, you choose a muffler from a good company. read the exhaust faq for some good companies.

Neither. The gains are not worth the headace of the farting sound. I had a magnaflow cat-back system, and I just bought a stock muffler for it, because I just couldnt take it anymore.

^ some people dislike the giant coffee can as well. Catback is a highly recommended though, especially if your going into the world of F/I, but even N/A it will give you a nice sound and some top end gains (atleast it did for me), but if you get a low-quality one, the fart noise does get old REAL quick.
