Any of you guys put a header on a 01 civic or equivilant and have the old exhaust manifold laying around? I need one.

Or does anyone know where I could get a used one in Southern California?

a DC sporst header will still pass emissions (since you're in California), why not just upgrade your exhaust mani since you need to replace it anyway?

 

Will it bolt to the existing exhaust pipe and if yes how much are they?

 

well DC headers are pretty expensive, you might be able to find an OEM one on ebay for cheaper, but since you still have to pass emissions, you gotta pay Megan headers are just as good as DC (or atleast close), but theyre only like $150 since they're not certified for emissions tests

 

I checked out e-bay and found lots of inexpensive headers. None of them have the cat though. There was a new replacement too for $585.00. [sm=smiley19.gif] If I could find an inexpensive california legal header w/ cat system I would consider it. I'm not big on the idea of fabbing something up since the smog stations get wierd when they see mods.

oooh, you got a sh*tty header/cat combo. You could get a Megan header and then a universal catalytic converter welded somewhere in your midpipe and you should pass emissions if im not mistaken.
