Ok so i am getting a CAI in about a week i already have a SRI so my ? is i live on a dirt drive so i got a intake tube for my SRI just to see what the differnce is now will i have to worry about the dust from the dirt at all. Also when i put it on my car used to idel at about 1 now its about 1.5 almost 2 is this normal

 

Your not gonna have to worry to much about the dirt thats what the filter is for as for the idle im not really sure why its higher

 

Yeah i figured about the filter but i was out riding today after the tube install and i got on an open strectch and i punched it now my car has never ran hot at all but for some reason it shot up really high i pulled over turned it off check it out it was fine. When i got back in and crank it up it went right back to the middle where my needle usally sits and its been running fine idk. I really hope nothing happend cause im mean are cars going to heat up when u go petal to the metal like that i mean is this normal

AEM but its very used. My cars seems fine but i really dont know why this happend

 

weird? i guess ur just gonna have to see when u get a real cai i doubt ull have a higher idle mine was a little under 1g when i had my v2 in my car ... when it was runnin lol you plan on gettin aem cai ?

 

Yeah my friend is shiping me his only used for about a month. But hey i drove the car this mourning still runs fine i guess i just pushed it a little to hard and it shot the temp up for a minute idk.
