I have a y8 with a HP Racing header, and custom 2.25" exhaust from the stock cat back and before today I had a short ram intake on there. I ordered a CAI just to see if there was a difference and believe me....there is! I don't care what anyone out there says about CAI's taking away your TQ, it's not true. Or at least with my car. The torque stayed the same as it was with the short ram but it kept pulling all through the powerband. Short rams aren't to good after about 2,500-3,500k RPM but that new CAI just kept on pulling. I recommend a CAI over a short ram any day. Hope this helped some of you contimplating on which intake to get.
