Thats what I want to know? I have a new 07 Si sedan and want a catback that sounds a little louder and adds a few hp. I don't care about price. A local shop by me said he would put in a catback exhaust using a Silverline muffler with a removable internal resonator, delete 1 of the 2 resonators and replace the other resonator with a smaller one. He said he would use 2.25" aluminized mandrel bent piping. All for $300. I was also considering Apex'i WS II or Magnaflow catback. I don't know, I was an 07 TL Type-S owner 1 week ago. BIG change. I know nothing about Civic's???

^ +1 Good one polo ! So true. I've got the Magnaflow catback w/ 2.25 in. Sounds great and good mid range pickup ;D

That is the biggest gain of an upgraded exhaust... a smoother power band with a decent gain throughout, not just a big top end power gain. The faster you can get air in and out the more power you will make. Also, exhaust will continue to gain power as other mods are introduced... for example with a stock intake you might see 3hp, but with an intake and the added air your exhaust alone might net you around 5hp now, each setup is different. Also altitude, temp and other weather is a huge factor...

thats for a full catback I take it? Price sounds about right. You cant go wrong with magnaflow. Also you could search Borla, Apexi and Dynamax. Sorry, dont know much about 07's

hey man, get a custom exhaust. go to your local muffler shop, and they'll make the piping for whatever muffler you choose to buy. it'll cost much less that $440 and you don't have to wait for magnaflow to come out with a vehicle specific one.

only downside is that most shops dont mandrel bend or use catylitic converters/resonators like they should. It will definitley be cheaper with a custom header back exhaust through a local muffler shop though.

I went to a local shop that does all kinds of stereo and exhaust. He said they would put in a Silverline muffler with a removable resonator, delete 1 of the 2 resonators, and replace the other resonator with a smaller one, also use aluminized mandrel bent 2.25" pipe for $300 total.
