New throttle body

Question New throttle body

Im buying a new throttle body for my civic. Moving up from a 55mm to a 60mm can anyone tell me the change in hp and whp from the change?

you should bore out our intake mani also if you really want to see the gains.

Sweet! Your looking at like 60 hp increase and like 200whp increase. lol

Your intake system will only be as free-flowing as your most restrictive piece. (Just like exhuast.) Just think of it as a hose with water shooting through it. You widen one part, but right after that widened piece, it becomes restricted again. Sounds kind of pointless, right? You would want to try and "port match" the IM to the size of the new TB. However, it is not required.

Also, are you getting a 60mm TB from a different Honda/Acura (like a GSR or something?), or are you buying something like a Skunk2 TB? Does the new TB have all necessary sensors (TPS, MAP, etc)? You cannot just "swap" over the TPS w/o it getting re-aligned.

Super-Duper Quick Edit - Do you have a stock car at this point? Is it safe to assume that you have a 94 Civic? What do you plan on modding on your car in addition to the TB?
