Default O2 Simulator/Sensor Extension

I've had a header for a while now, and the 2nd O2 sensor doesn't reach the O2 sensor port on the header. I just zip-tied the O2 sensor up and told myself i'd deal with it later....and it's finally later. Is it possible to extend an O2 sensor just by splicing into the wires, extending them, then matching them back up to the correct colors? Or should i just get an O2 simulator? I've read about O2 simulators and they never really say if they're permanent or not...so what should i do?

Cut the wires for the O2 sensor and solder in some wires to extend it. Hook up the O2 sensor and your good to go

Default RE: O2 Simulator/Sensor Extension

can i just extend the wires? or buy some type of extender?

i bought a header at this show today and FORGOT that some are in the front and some in the rear... well mine is in the rear and this ones in the front
and i realy dont wanna pay 15bucks to get back into the show to try and exchange it or return it
and thiers always the chance they wont be thier tomorow

the header looks decent just unfortuantly its in the wrong spot for my ex... and my concern is the O2 sensor being upfront and just in the #1 exaust that the sensor wouldnt read properly.... or the computer would be setup to accept the reading in the rear like that.
can someone help me out ASAP.... i definatly dont want any check engine light on....
