Default need 02 sensor extension

I just bought a catback for my civic and the 02 sensors are in a different location that stock. So, now the 02 sensor isnt long enough to reach the bottom of the headers. I have two sensors. The first sensorfits fine on the side of the headers, but the otheris suppose to goall the way down the 4-2-1 header pipe. But, that 02 sensor will not reach that far.....so what to I do? Can I buy a 02 sensor extension to give me the extra length I need to make the connection? Where can I buy this?

or maybe I can just splice the 4 wires that are on the sensors and just add more wire to them and cremp them back together....would that work? Just cut the wires and add more wire to them....

i've heard of people splicing/extending the wires and it being successful, but i know that you can buy o2 sensor extensions that would clena it up alot, i think www.jegs.com has some, idk if their for imports, i'd say just Google it and you'll find it

But you have the exhuast mani/cat combo right? Magnaflow makes an aftemarket header/high flow cat combination that i imagine has o2 bung's in the same position, so that'd cure the problem all together. But! It does cost like $500 or somethin.

ya, I got new JDM style 4-2-1 exhaust manifold headers and full catback with testpipe. I'll try the splicing/extending. I dont think I'll run into any problemsdoing that.....hopefully.

Thanks for your advice,

Aaron

trust me from personal experience, its really easy to do. but u must use the same guage wire, and you must solder. no crimps. make sure you use heat shrink too because that wire will rust and corrode in a second. but its honestly somehting that would take you 10 min tops.

the gage might be 16 or around there..you dont have to solder its just a good idea and use liquid tape or heat shrink dont just use black tape it will come off over time and then they will touch...and liquid tape is easyer, last longer then a roll of tape, and drys hard so it wont come off
