Default Performance muffler? D15B7

I've decided not to go the route I was with my car. I have a 95 civic 4 dr, d15b7. After alot of research and replies it seems it's best to wait to get the serious mods going on my next car, that has a better engine. Dont wanna waste money if it really wont help. I already have a aem ari intake. Im thinking instead of doing a cat back and headers just to get a new muffler, have the small stock one there now. Do you guys think even buying a nice muffler will give the car better performance, just a little something, im not expecting much but....

Thanks.

Oh, I forgot to ask whats a good size for the outlet and inlet for my sceneraio, confused on what effect different sizes will give. I dont want the car to be annoying loud, but want to hear a difference.

just a str8 up muffler will not get you any gains at all, simple as that....it will just change the sound........Twin Loop FTW for just a muffler
