Port and Polish Intake Manifold

Port and Polish Intake Manifold
So i'm finally moving up the big leagues with a z6 intake manifold. I've heard that it addes 10-14 hp, is that accurate? (i just wnat to know out of curiousity)
Anyway, when i get it, i want to port and polish it. I want to squeeze every horse i can out of this mod, so i want to port and polish it becase i've heard that makes a difference. Does it make a difference? And if so, can someone give me a description or link to a write-up of how to do it?

RE: Port and Polish Intake Manifold
first things first... I'm not sure about 10-14 hp, but I do know intake manifolds have great horsepower gains; a lot better gains than you'll see from a single intake, exahust, or header, at any rate
As far as the port and polishing, I'm not sure exactly how to do it (there might be a write up on http://www.honda-tech.com/).. From what I gather, all port and polishing really is is smoothing out the intake and exhaust ports so the air/exhaust flow is smoother. Unfortunately, as far as I know, you have to pull your engine and all that good stuff to do it. Anyway, yeah, it does make a difference from what I've heard. Personally, I'm just going to save the time and effort and get a good old H22 swap lol

RE: Port and Polish Intake Manifold
Had my intake manifold port and polished, just waiting for the weather to get warmer to install it. Along with a Hondata intake manifold gasket.
Also had my throttle body sent out and port matched, but the guy accidently send me back the wrong throttle body so I'm awaiting for that to be corrected. I can't wait to put this on, but damn NY weather has to be so cold.
