a new exhaust system might make some smoke and smells for the first few minutes of run time... give it a day before getting worried.

you can also disconnect the battery for a few minute and then start it up and let it idle for 5 or so minutes and let the ecu compensate

When I installed my cat-back exhaust I used WD-40 to help take off the old exhaust system from the rubber hangers and re-install the new one. Some of the WD-40 got onto my new exhaust and when I started it up it smelt bad for a day or two, but then went away.

only thing you may want to check, is where the tip sits in relation to your bumper. My cat back was resting on the inside of the bumper a little and was burning it. I smelled it and realized what it was luckily in time before it destroyed my entire bumper. Just a thought
