Default questions on catback exhaust

I'd like to tune the exhaust on my civic dx. Is JDM N1 catback a decent system? Its around $250 on ebay, is this about right for $$. also how much will it help with the power, and will it cause any long term effects for the worse on my engine. what intake should I mate it with to get the most out of it. I have to do things one at a time due to $$$. any suggestions? I don't want to do anything that will have adverse effects on reliability. any advice is appreciated.

thanks

i think that jdm n1 is a knockoff of the apexi n1. ge either apexi, greddy, or something else of a good name. it wont hurt your engine at all, and the best first mod you could do for power is an AEM cold air intake. it will give a decent power gain, and make your car sound pretty beefy.
