I got a neighbor with an integra and i asked him what he's got thats makin the noise cause his muffler looked like it was stock... He told me he had an ES Tuning System that was pretty inexpensive. It does sound nice, i admit. But for something so cheap would it be a good idea to put one on my 00 civic?? I guess i choose performance rather then being the loudest intimidating car on my block. Since its just a the muffler would i just go to a muffler shop and have them do all the piping for me?


and another quetion.....

I really reallly really want the ws2 muffler..problem is i dont have 400+ dollars to be spending. I found a site that sells just the universal muffler,.... for like, 190..

my question is this....

What would be the big differences in saving up my money for a full catback ws2 sytem

OR

just buying the muffler and taking it to my buddies muffler shop for him to do the rest of the piping for another 90 bucks.

so pretty much what would be the final outcome between the two

 

y not just buy a Magnaflow cat-back from ebay for like $300+/- that will add power and sound great? $400 just for sound is extremely pointless IMO. if u buy the $190 muffler, and then the $90 piping, thats already $280. u can get a great mandrel bent stainless steel cat-back that will add hp and sound awesome for just around the same price and it will be guaranteed to fit and last. but thats just what i would do...

 

if you dont wanna fork up 400+ bucks for an exhaust then Megan Racing and Magnaflow are the ways to go.

 

If you do have a shop do it, make sure you get it mandrel bent instead of crush bent. For 90 bucks, I would imagine they're going to use a crush bender, but stay away from it.

 

well... has anyone ever heard of the ES tuning system?

 

i didnt like the sound of the magnaflow though....

 

try skunk. expencive but it doesnt get much better than that.
