Total newbie but looking to improve. I've got a '99 SI. I installed a K&N FIPK intake and DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic one-piece headers. Both brought noticeable improvement and I'm happy. Now I'm looking for the next step and considering a good cat-back system. I've heard good things about Greddy, Apexi, DC Sports, and Magnaflow but the prices range from $370-$700 and most things I've read indicate improvements of between -1 (yikes) and 7 hp at the wheels. That seems like a lot of money for not much and I'm wondering if there is a better bang for the buck. Eventually (read years) I'll go to a turbo or supercharger system but for now I'd be happy with modest gains for modest bucks. Any recommendations? Anyone? Beuller?

Thanks
Jason

Magnaflow will prolly be one of the cheapest and they are good. some sound a lil raspy at higher rpms tho but u will notice gains.

and wrong section..

+1 on the magnaflow. heard it it sounds alright. if your planning on going turbo in a year or two, id just save up money to build the engine and turbo, insted of dropping money into an exhaust. when you turbo you'll need a new exhaust anyways.
