Default replacing 2004 lx with a vtec ?

Does adding a Vtec to a non vtec 2004 civic lx gives any increase in Horsepower ? im thinking it may be does because same model of car with EX trim that comes with a VTEC gives about "12" more horse power... correct me if im wrong

the ex head will give you the added hp not the vetec. vtec on this generation aren't like the previous model it more for mpg. also with the ex head and ecu you can add a next stage crower cam for 15-20 extra hp.

what u said doesnt make sense vtec head is ex head. I mean difference between 04 lx engine and 04 ex engine is just the vtec head
