RE: short ram
a pipe is a pipe so theoretically, it'd perform the same as another name brand
fitment, sometimes can be a prob with ebay sellers
the only reason why i might not buy that is because it doesn't have a CARB logo on it

RE: short ram
much better if you ask me, here, your paying for AEM quality..thats always important for me that i buy quality parts, it will make you much happier in the long run. now as for fitment, i know that parts arent made specifcally for DX models, but since this will fit the EX model, i beleive it will fit yours, good luck!

RE: short ram
In my opinion I find it hard to understand the benefit of buying a high-end intake such as AEM, K&N etc. Yes, you get what you pay for, but in reality all you are really buying is the logo on many of these products. I bought a cheapass 'BOMZ Racing' Short Ram/Cold Air Intake off Ebay, and you get everything required in terms of hardware to ensure it will fit. The tubing that is included in the kit is polished alloy (unlike the annodised finish of the AEM version), which is just as good as any. The silicone couplers could look a little neater, but again this isn't really a big deal.
My Intake cost £40 and it came with two pieces of alloy intake tubing (diff. shapes/sizes), the filter element itself and also a few various silicone couplers and mounting bracket. How can I possibly complain for that price?!
Installed, the kit definately give an extra power gain and gives a nice induction 'growl'. Defo Worth the cash IMO.

RE: short ram
chris ur right there r some good no name brands out there, its not tht we're saying dont buy it but just be careful cause there r alot of rip offs out there and u dont wana spend money on the "rip off" and "brand name", whn u could of just bought the "brand name" and save money.
so if u wana risk it thn go ahead thts perfectly fine but IMO i would rather pay the extra money for a 110% fit and good quality part.

RE: short ram
i didnt buy the sri. i just went and bought the air filter and took out my air box and put the filter on the end of the intake tube with all the sensors on it so i didnt have to worry about fitment. it is an apc air filter and it screams on the stock intake tube.
