Default simulator/cat./fouler

If my cat is bad, will this make the car run rich and blow a little smoke(already running CEL P0420)? If I install a simulator will it fix this problem and, do you even need a cat. if have a simulator or, can I just run the down pipe? What about a spark plug fouler adapter, any opinions?

the fouler is the same thing as the cel fix you see on ebay. It will work the same, and eliminated my cel.and yea you definately want a cat.

What's the point of having a cat. if your running a fix or simulator anyways. If you need these, your cat isn't doing its job anyways, you souldn't get a cel with proper cat function, so why not eliminate it..other than pollution?

^ the way i see it is if u live in an inspection state than u need the CAT if u dont live in an inspection state than u really dont need it. BUT if the police find out tht ur car doesnt have a cat than they can pull u over and either write u a ticket or have ur car towed .My car doesnt have an CAT and i proably wont ever get one either

No, I cant afford anything but regular, lol. What i mean is when I take off my stock setup and put on the header, the only place the secondary o2 sensor can go is in the 2nd port on the header(towards the end of down pipe). When I do this, the sensor tells the ecu to give the car more gas. When this happens the mixture of air/fuel is incorrect and makes the car smoke(doesn't smoke with stock man./cat.)Did your car not have this problem?

Do you mean that you put both the sensors in the header? One at the top and one at the bottom? If that is what you did then you need to buy a o2 sensor bung (yes that is what it is called lol) and have someone weld it into the piping behind the cat and then put the second sensor into it.
