Mmm.. I forgot about magnaflow. Well, i'm going to ask you this, since you have a very similar setup to what i'll have.
I have a AEM V2 installed, and soon i'm gonna add a Megan 4-1 Header, and Apexi WS2. Whats your opinion on the Magnaflow high flow cat?
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku This is what i've found for my D17.
I just want to see what you think, because if i'm not mistaken, I rememeber you have a magnaflow cat. And as much as I hate raspiness and test pipes, I thought it wouldn't be too bad, and was hoping the WS2 wouldn't sound too terrible, even with a test pipe.

WS2=sex in your ears. lol.
anyway, it's a good thing you asked me this, because when i first had the WS2 i had a test pipe. it sounded really bad and raspy. A test pipe with a WS2 is probably the raspiest exhaust i've ever heard.
the magnaflow one sounds pretty good IMO. It's a little louder than stock, and maintains the deep quiet tone of the WS2. With the test pipe the WS2 gets higher pitched and it's pretty bad sounding.
lol. i have a slogan for catalytic converters.
"High-flow cats: it's just the right thing to do."
The only time i would say a test pipe is not that bad to have is in MobstaMan's situation with the Nawssss and all.

Yeah, I love the look and sound of the WS2. Mobsta also makes fun of me alot for wanting it, he always says "Your gonna pay $400 something for a stock sounding exhaust?" and i'm like "I don't want a fart can, and I don't want something that sounds too loud, I don't wanna sound like all the other ricers out there."
Well, the magnaflow one IS cheaper.. And hell, its a cat. And it would save me from doing the defouler trick on the test pipe. Yeah, i'm gonna run nitrous too once I get my Header and exhaust on. I don't really wanna join the K20a2 band wagon, and i'm tired of everyone bashing on the D17s. But hell, with a cat and Nitrous as long as you don't miss a shift and clog up the cat, you should be good lol.

Yeah, the only things i've ever seen for the D17 are.. eBay test pipes, Megan 'high-flow' test pipe, Magnaflow cat, and Random Tech high-flow cat. So my options were pretty limited, but now that you've englightened me, i'm pretty sure i'll go with the Magnaflow.
