I have an EG with an Autozone SRI (I think it's Spectre or something)... you can hear it whistle when you get on the throttle.

It's perfectly normal for SRI's to whistle

had a cheapo and a K&N, both whistle rather loudly at idle.

Mine whistles at a specific throttle position when im going up a hill. I hate it lol. I'm going to go outside and tighten everything down somemore and see if that helps.

well the whistle i wouldnt worry about BUT that cheap @ss air filter i would...
i know my cheap intake filter was total crap! just a steel screen... only thing it blocked was large bugs and leafes!!!!
i feel so much safer with runing my new AEM dryflow filter on it!

yea im getting the filter ASAP.........and it prolly is around those RPM's i just dont have a tach so i wouldnt kno lol Its just kinda stupid though, cuz to people who dont kno much about cars, it sounds like something's broken or wrong.......w/e ill deal with it lol the sound it makes when revved overpoweers the whistle anyways, and that sound is niice lol

a mechanic told me that the whistle is simply to do with too much air coming into the TB which causes a whistle...it's nothing to worry about, i had to happening with an AEM SRI on my lastcar...CAI nowhistle whatsoever though

well thier probably still isa whistle BUT the filter is behind some panels so it blocks from noises

mine does it too, nuthin to worry about. i dont even notice it anymore unless i listen for it/turn down the stereo.

mine must be defective then (or I installed it properly)
